Leeds bear hunt 2023

How exciting – a cheap day out in Leeds, or at least it was supposed to be! We set off nice and early, packed snacks in bags and plenty of water bottles. I couldn’t wait to find the bears; I heard one is called Rosie. I already know she’s my favourite. As you’ll see, the kids enjoyed climbing under all the bears they could, as if they were props just for them to play with. Bless them.

Pictures of the first few bears we found.

We met up with Amanda, the daughter, and my granddaughter, Lexii, at the bus station before heading towards the market for our first find. Lexii didn’t want to be in the photos, but not to worry, I’ll involve her in the spirit of things and capture some wonderful shots.

I captured a few more bears, and I see Lexii smiling. She must be having fun!

Now look at these beauties we found down the dock. We did take a river taxi, that’s for the next post. I actually asked a stranger if she wouldn’t mind taking the photos for me. I was struggling to climb on the bench to get a good shot. I think she did me proud! I would have ended up over the railing and in the water. Yes, my balance can be that comical.

And there she is, Rosie. She is magnificent.

Actually, I took a photo of Amanda. Shhh, don’t tell her. That was the first part of our day. Success! Now it’s time for some food, a river taxi ride, and a visit to the armories.

That’s it, and that’s all. Thanks for stopping by!
