We started the month with our weekly outing to McDonald’s. My eldest grandson, Logan, Warren’s brother, joined us today. Don’t they look happy!
Pandora is happily playing on the doodle mat. She has had it for years, and it’s still in good playing condition.

I was looking for a new educational game to play with my little learners when I found Word Bingo on Twinkl. It’s such a great resource! The only downfall is i have to print laminate & cut it all myself!
It’s so much fun when you add prizes!

They do like to make these pictures. They start by copying the card and then evolve into making their own. Sadly, there aren’t enough pieces in one box for them both to make pictures at the same time, as I found out. So, I quickly improvised, and while one was playing, I had the other making 3D animals with me.

So I let her and her friend have one each. Unfortunately, her friend, who we shall call Sapphire, is unable to be photographed.But here is a snap of Pandora.

Steph and the boys came for a visit today. It was mild chaos, what with the little man, Xane, walking and getting into everything. I took a few snapshots. They’re all so cute.
The park & gravity
I remembered to take pics this time. As usual, we had tea and then headed to the little park before Gravity. They love it here, but today they were a little worn out and ended their session early.

Pandora is playing with the old Bratz and Barbie dolls that I found in the cupboard, where everything gets thrown we all have one, i got them out for Lexii to create a sprite fairy. You can watch a video of it here.The dolls belong to Skye & Taarna Pandora’s auntie & mum.
Lexii’s sprite fairy & I have no idea what to call the other, maybe a hairy monster fairy? Any ideas, please leave a comment. They apparently tie them to a ceiling fan and turn it on; it’s a TikTok thing. I have a very special granddaughter or two; love them just the way they are… gruesome!

Just the five of us today. The lifeguard was on it, reminding everyone constantly of the rules. Needless to say, she approached us three times! A new face, haven’t seen her before, but she’s doing a good job.
Amanda brought these drinks to try. I’m partial to a Dip Dab; I love them. But the drink, not so much. It seemed like sparkling water with no flavour to speak of. So, I pinned my hopes on the fruit salad. This had to be nice, but it was too sweet for me. Amanda and Lexii seem to enjoy finishing them off.

When someone texts you and asks if you’re home because they’ve got something for you, I was excited, anticipating what on earth this gift could be. I would have never guessed… Andrew, you are a legend. I LOVE IT! A glass pumpkin sweet jar. I’m going to put it on a nice high shelf, away from the little darlings. I’ll insert a few, not real, sunflowers with orange and black marbles for year-round decoration, not just for Halloween!

I’m so excited to tell you, Warren did it! He’s mastered how to ride a bike. What an achievement! We are all so proud of him. Here is a link so you can see for yourself. Well done, Warren. We are so proud of the hard work you put into accomplishing riding a bike.

It’s only the 14th of August, and I have so many more plans for this month, so August is going to be in two parts. I hope you’re enjoying this journey into my life. I’m hoping to preserve all my work for the future so the family can look back on it.
