Do you have a collection?
Chances are if you collect something you probably collect other things…..

As a child i collected stamps, postcards and foreign money.
You may find at different stages you will collect different things….
i have collected painted pub mirrors, money boxes, craft stash’s currently cross stitch & knitting.
i still collect ornamental boxes or tins, currency i’m mad for the Beatrix potter collection, 50p’s & two pound coins i have a lot should just cash them in when i’m skint but i can’t and would probably regret it.
I also have too many monopoly’s my favorite is The walking dead…….
Recently i have started collecting anything with a union jack although this is the theme in my bedroom so is it a collection?
I have an interest in Virgin trains and have many items from shoes in a can to festival survival kits , i do like trains and often visit the railway museum
I’m such a weird one i also have bags of wires and old mobile phones its very difficult for me to let these unimportant items go……. does this mean i’m actually a hoarder?
So i guess the debate is are you a Hoarder or Collector?
COLLECTORS
- Feel proud of their collections
- Keep their collections organized and well maintained
- Find joy in their collections and willingly display them to others
- Share their collections with like minded enthusiasts
- Enjoy conversations about their collections
- Budget their time and money around their collections
HOARDERS
- Feel embarrassed by their things
- …….not really i just told you about them…..
- Have their things scattered randomly, often without any functional organization
- ……not at all everything i have is put away tidy in its own box…..
- Have clutter, often resulting in the loss of functional living space
- ……….NO I DON’T……….
- Often have debt, sometimes extreme
- ……..only a little historic debt…….
- Feel ashamed, sad, or depressed after acquiring additional item
- ………then why would you buy it ………..
What do you think ?
Collector or hoarder ?
